Ok So the Five things I am grateful for Today.
1. I am grateful for the rain. There's been lots of it today. Getting caught out in a torential torrent would not be my first choice, but it was somehow nice; refreshing even. Not so much fun in flip flops. So I am grateful for rain. Besides it makes everything look so green. And it smells amazing.
2. I am grateful for the kindness of strangers. For the person who left cookies for my mom. The kind she really likes too.
3. I am grateful for the range of human emotion. I don't feel so together today. I really need a good cry. It's not coming though. I would have spent time at the rive if not for the rain. Maybe later. I am still grateful for what I can feel; the good the bad the ugly.
4. I am grateful for work. I can work and distract myself from how much I just want to curl away from the world. I wouldn't say things are back to normal, that won't come for awhile, but it is some normalicy. Hurding kids through the Museum's Native American exhibit is certainly a distraction from my own thoughts.
5. I am grateful for my past, my present and my future, whatever that may be. Strange, bizzare dreams and all. For who's in my head and who's rooted in my heart. I am grateful for the external sources that reflect back who I am. My light, my strength, my potential, my power. I am strong, I see that.
Probably a good thing not many who read this. Sometimes is sounds like Lemming talk, others just pure dillusional.
Ah my mind is a strange place to wander. You should see it from this side.
Like a fish in mid air
Like a bird deep beneath the waves
I am strong.
I know where I belong.
Like the moon in mid-day
Like the sun bright at mid-night
I have courage to be me
I know where I belong
And I know who I am.
{can you hear it}
